Webcomics I follow and why

A different post than usual eh?

Alpha Shade – I need to catch up on this, the premise is exciting and confusing, but I bet if I was caught up it would make sense and be more exciting ^_^;

Flipside – (adult) The art is great and the writer is ballsy. Primary Lesbian pairing, knights, magic, and stuffs. Some comedy mixed in and a jester who knows how to party. Many don’t like it, but it may be for the reasons that I like it. The writer does his thing his way and I appreciate that.

Marilith – Good to see a fellow gunsmitcats genre fan. Girls with guns on the run. Does pretty well despite the hiccups along the way and I look forward to where its going. That nurse needs a bra stat!

Misfile – Ah I love this series, it’s sorely underrated as an unlicensed title. You can buy books tho. Guy becoems girl and meets girl. Subtext abounds, angst atm. Humor abounds aplenty. Don’t hate it for its lack of true lesbian story telling, people with gender identification issues need stories too. I loved Kasimashi, so this is a welcome compliment with car racing.

MegaTokyo – Like it or hate it, I love it for one reason alone. Don Quixote is my hero and Largo is his modern equivalent. Its not just him telling the story of fantasy and reality. There is a heart to the series and so many awesome quotes from funny to intriguing. The art varies and is mostly rough, but its homely too.

Namir Deiter – I don’t follow Furries near as much as I did when I was younger, but in this case I loved how it started. How it progressed? well its like a soap opera/sitcom something or another. i still catch up on it now and then as light entertainment. Perhaps it lacks some of the fun it used to have, but adulthood might do that to you ;P. Yeah the characters progressed and aged as did the story telling for better or for worse.

Otenba files – The other furry title (adult) I follow. Update is behind, but thats life of an independent artist/writer. Story and setting are fun. Lots of true lesbians whom as the title suggests are tomboys at heart. Why can’t a couple tough girls fall in love? Heh, guess I’m a sucker for the tall dark and handsome lesbians character motif. (Disclaimer: I’m a male and by ‘I’m a sucker’ It does not mean ‘want some for myself’. I never measure by wanting sex, just not me. I don’t want an award. i just don’t want cute lesbians asking me out or men posing as them. Its not gonna work, tho I am honored ;P)

P A W N comic – Yay (adult) fantasy comedy, good fun and fart humor (eh)

Red String – Published title, nice shoujo story with one angsty lesbian couple, nice they are being addressed currently.

STRIPTEASE (adult) Ah this story is screwed up, left and right. I do enjoy it tho, feels familiar and original which is probably the goal.

The Lounge – (Adult) Ah eh not so sure about the current story its like I don’t care, but I’ll be patient with it. Up until now there’s a lot of good things to read if you are so inclined.

VanVonHunter – So much fun. I need a good comedy now and then. So not updating much this holiday season. Ah well. They are published in a newspaper and in book form additionally.

Yellow Moon – Lord of the rings parody with lesbians as the lead couple one of which could care less about the evil power taking over the world? Sold! Alas, nothing new in a year, hope things are well. I’d love more.

Webcomics not your thing? Onemanga.com is fun.

Ah they try so hard to protect us and pass laws used against us.

H. R. 1955 (Referred-in-Senate)

Have a read, you tell me what it means.

Comments I found at Digg:

BobSutan Terrorism doesn’t kill people, acts of violence do. Guess what folks, killing people is already illegal. Why do we need even more bureaucracy to punish those who would already be punished if they committed such acts?

Smaller government my ass.

BlacklabelSAR Correction: Terrorists kill people. Terrorism is the use of terror. You cannot lock up terrorism. You cannot punish terrorism. Thus it is an endless war and so and endless excuse to ask Americans to give up their civil liberties.

Comparison: You can lock up a drunk driver, but you can’t lock up drunk driving. Same for the “War On Drugs”, brought to you by the same people that told us to “Just say no” campiagn. The same people that traded drugs for guns in order to “secure freedom” (Iran-Contra). And then claimed to “fail to recall”.

Or as I like to put it – War is the rich man’s terrorism. Terrorism is the poor man’s war.

What a way to mark a moment in time.

This woman was a social and political revolutionary before Mrs. Clinton was ever considering running for office. 15 years ago in fact she was PM of Pakistan, but now that she was assassinated. Many reports of a suicide bomb attack by a 15 year old, in fact she was shot in the neck. No doubt this was intended much like the dark age mentality allows. We are friends with fascists and we may yet be fascists ourselves. The writing is not just on the walls, its written in blood. Senator John Edwards was criticized for paying tribute to homeless veterans because he was ‘rich’. I feel sorry for the lack of respect that POV offers those vets. Far be it for anyone at all to pay tribute to them. Far be it for an American running for office to pay tribute to those who need it arguably most during this holiday season. Oh, do check that link, it explains my headline here. Be safe, don’t indulge too much and the police are earning their paychecks too out there so smile, show respect and relax.
