Republicans are afraid of spending

Why?

Really, why? They were so OK with spending 1.3 trillion dollars in 2001 under Bush. This bill is only 900 billion. A stimulous plan spends money, that is capitalism. Money circulating once again. The banks were bailed out, right? Why aren’t loans increasing in number? That’s because the money should be placed in the hands of contractors. That is, union labor rebuilding our cities, making property values go up. These are small steps in a long journey of recuperation.
